Scholarships & Outreach
In alignment with its overall purpose, Capital City Athletics desires for all athletes to have access to high quality training and competition environments, regardless of financial situation. CCA values the opportunity to provide financial assistance for families who otherwise unable to do so. CCA funds these scholarship and outreach opportunities through our own budgeting and fundraising, as well as in association with Wyoming Swimming and USA Swimming. The following are the scholarship and outreach opportunities available. Please contact a club admin or board member with any further questions.

CCA Scholarship Application
Click the link to complete the online CCA Scholarship Application. Be prepared with all swimmer and parent information, as well as qualification verification documents. Please allow up to one month for approval by the CCA Board of Directors.
CCA Annual Registration
Upon BOD approval, families will be provided with registration information and a scholarship discount code. This registration will submit your swimmer into our management system, where we will mark your account as a scholarship for future billing.
USA Swimming Outreach Membership
Families will also be provided a specific registration link for USA Swimming's 'Outreach' membership, a discounted membership for those who qualify. Complete and submit the necessary information to then be approved by USA Swimming and Wyoming Swimming.

Once registrations are approved, your swimmer is welcome to join our practices and competitions fully! Use the website calendar and your Commit Swimming account to stay up to date on upcoming practices and events.
Outreach Competition Reimbursement
Outreach qualified swimmers may request discounted swim meet participation fees. Each swimmer may request discounted fees for two short course meets, two long course meets, and discounted state championship meet fees. All discounted meets must be hosted by a Wyoming Swimming club. Other terms apply. CCA admin will assist in the reimbursement process.
Scholarship FAQ's
Any family who is qualified for services such as LIEAP, Medicaid, Kid Care CHIP, Free/Reduced Lunch Program, Foster Care, Exchange Student Program. Additionally, we welcome those with special circumstances to apply, we may also be able to help based on unforeseen financial and life circumstances. NOTE: Approval by CCA does not automatically guarantee approval by USA Swimming/Wyoming Swimming.
There are 3 parts to the scholarship and outreach program:
- CCA Scholarship provides a reduced cost for CCA's registration & dues
- USA Swimming Outreach membership provides a reduced USAS membership that is required
- Wyoming Swimming provides opportunities for reduced meet fees.
- CCA annual registration - $5 responsibility
- CCA monthly dues - $5 responsibility
- USA Swimming Outreach Membership - $7 annual responsibility

Apply for the scholarship following the same process as stated, and provide a document explaining the special financial circumstance. The BOD will consider and communicate with you a decision within a month's time.
CCA's BOD will discuss and approve any pending applications at their next monthly board meeting, generally no more than 1 month.
Yes. CCA's swim year is September through August, and scholarship's are evaluated each swim year. Please complete a new application prior to the start of the swim year.
- CCA scholarship's assist with CCA's annual registration and monthly dues.
- USA Swimming Outreach Membership's assist with their required annual membership/insurance.
- Wyoming Swimming provides a meet fee reimbursement for Outreach members.
- CCA will also consider financially support further families who are unable to purchase required gear for their swimmer to practice and compete.
Wyoming Swimming allows reimbursement for Outreach members...
- up to 2 short course Wyoming meets - discounted fees
- up to 2 long course Wyoming meets - discounted fees
- discounted Wyoming Championship meet fees
Reimbursements are made by the club after the completion of a meet. If approved, swimmer accounts will not be billed for the amount of reimbursement.
